Dear Friends,



Master Shampad Chakraborty (Apollo Children’s Hospital Registration: UHID-79542) aged 5 years (S/O Mr. Nupur Chakraborty) has been diagnosed with acute hepatic failure and Wilson's disease. He has to undergo a liver transplant within a week which is his only hope to survive as his condition is deteriorating day by day. He hails from a lower middle class family where his mother is a house wife and his father works as a clerk in a resource management company in Dhaka (Bangladesh). The hospital has quoted the operation cost to be approximately INR. 25Lakhs (BDT 35.5Lakhs & USD 45.6Thousand), which is completely beyond our affordability. Shampad is currently being treated by Dr. Mahesh Gopasetty (Consultant Multi-organ Transplantation, Apollo hospital, Chennai) . The diagnosis certificate and the cost estimation were provided to us by Apollo hospital which is also attached with this mail.





Although have a live liver donor (Shampad’s mother), but they are still unable to perform the operation due to lack of funds.



Hence, I request to all you kind-hearted and generous people to please come forward and donate whatever possible within your means to save the life of this 5year old kid.
