Sensitivity to social justice might be a motivation for poems, but it is not the only one. Through the immediacy of images, an improvised-sounding, rigorous musicality, and far-ranging sentences, conveys complexities of feeling and thought while avoiding didacticism and ideologically motivated polemicspoet does not ma...ke the dangerous mistake of addressing social inequality by turning politics into art. As the philosopher and literary critic Walter Benjamin might have said, 'responds by politicizing art.' The danger of such a response, though, is that it can lead to art that disguises its participation in capitalist culture so that attention to poetic form only produces the illusion of resolution of real social conflict.

যে রেখাটি শয়তানের নিজের আঁকানো।
কিছু কিছু নিঃসঙ্গতা আছে
যেখানে তুমি এক চোখে তাকাও, আর দেখো শুধু লবণ।
কিছু কিছু শীতল মুহূর্ত আছে
যেখানে তুমি কবুতরের শ্বাসরোধ করে ডানা থেকে করো উষ্ণতা আহরণ।
কিছু কিছু ভারের মুহূর্ত আছে
যেখানে তুমি অনুভব করো, তুমি পড়ে গেছো যারা পড়ে তাদের মধ্যেই ।
কিছু কিছু নীরবতা আছে
যেগুলো তোমাকে প্রকাশ করতে হবে, শুধু তোমাকেই!
There are destinations
Where what is lacking in tremor is not solid.
There are loves
Where the world is not enough, one step is missing.
There are pleasures
In those, you punish yourself for art, for art is sin.
There are moments of silence
In which the woman's mouth
makes you think that modesty is just a question of sex.
There are hair dyed by a meteor
That is the devil who makes the line.
There is loneliness
Where you look only with one eye and see just salt.
There are moments of cold
Where you strangle pigeons and heat up with their wings.
There are moments of gravity
In which you feel that you have fallen among those who fall.
There are silences
That you must express them, precisely, you

লোকমানুষ বলেছেন: "কবুতরের শ্বাসরোধ করে উষ্ণতা আহরণ" কিংবা "এক চোখে শুধু লবণ দেখা" --এমন চিত্রকল্পগুলো আমাদের ভেতরের সেই আদিম ও নিঃসঙ্গ সত্তাটাকে আয়নার সামনে দাঁড় করিয়ে দেয়। আপনার শব্দের বুনন অদ্ভুতভাবে ধারালো, যা একইসাথে অস্বস্তি দেয় আবার ভাবনার নতুন দুয়ার খুলে দেয়।
