Trapped

Bangladesh has always been an under developed country. Its only been recent times, a few years, that Bangladesh has shown signs of a developing country. Most of the people reside on the rural or village areas while a minor amount of people are locale to the urban areas. The people are very simple minded and are easily deviated. One thing these people blindly believe in is their religion,Islam. And lots of people take advantage of this and exploit the religion for their own benefits.

First example can be fake pir/fakirs. These people claim to have spiritual powers and abilities to heal any type of wound,sort any type of problem,even sometimes bringing back the dead in exchange of money. And people fall for this scams are they are very simple people devoted to the religion and have no idea of what is real and what is fake. These fakes are seen to carry out unusual acts on the people,like beating them with sticks and hurting the subjects and offering special drinks that can cure anything. When asked about what the drinks contain, they are unable to specify anything. And most of the people are not cured by these fakes yet still they return again to find any different result the next time. Even the people deny the fact that these are scammers. I feel really horrible about this as they are laundering away money from these people so easily in the name of god and not only it is harming the people but also the religion itself.

Another type of scamming is the future telling. They set up huge offices,make up lots of decorations and stuff to attract people. They claim to tell the future by observing the lines in one's hand. Future telling is completely banned in Islam as only Allah knows whats to come and no one else has the power to tell it. Yet still people are foolish enough to go to them rather than turning to Allah.

The country is developing and the people needs to do so too. Its okay to follow something blindly but first we must understand whether it is the right thing or not. This type of fake activities must be halted. Deception can never be a part of Islam.
