Bangladesh inked two memoranda of understanding (MoUs) with two Indian companies to set up 4,600-megawatt mega power plants in the country. The projects will also help ease a 7,000-MW power deficiency in the country. The Power Development Board (PDB) of Bangladesh and Indian companies signed the MoUs in Dhaka. The two projects are expected to help Bangladesh achieve its 20,000-MW target by 2020. Adani Group sealed the deal for 1,600 MW capacity while Reliance Power inked the agreement for a 3,000-MW project in Bangladesh. This power import from India represents that connectivity with two country as well as develop our country.
