The war of Liberation of 1971 is a glorious chapter to Bangladesh’s history. The mass people from all walks of life participated in the war of liberation to fight against the atrocious Pakistan Army, their local collaborators the Al-Badr, Razakars. To recognize their limitless valor as the freedom fighters, 7 martyrs of the war of Liberation has been awarded the highest appellation the Birshreshtha. Innumerable people from all walks of life–farmers, laborers, students and common people joined the Liberation War of Bangladesh. One by one other fearless fighter from the army, navy and air-force joined the war. Their endless courage and intellectual feat begot a new flag, which is Bangladesh. They are our Unforgettable Heroes. The Bir Sreshtho the Most Valiant Hero, is the highest military award of Bangladesh. It was awarded to seven freedom fighters who showed utmost bravery and died in action for their nation. They are considered martyrs. We will never forget them.
