Govt to recruit primary teachers

Primary school teachers help to give young children the best possible start in life. The government has finally decided to recruit 28,000 Assistant Teachers for registered primary schools across the country from the waiting panel. The DPE sent notices to the District Education officials to recruit them for the vacant posts in the schools according to the merit list. The Ministry in April 2010 issued a circular for the recruitment of assistant teachers for the then registered non-government primary schools. Recruitment examinations were held in 2012 and a total of 42,611 candidates finally came out successful. The Ministry of Primary and Mass Education on May 18 sent a letter to the DPE asking it to appoint the candidates in the vacant posts. According to the order, the candidates can be appointed in the newly created posts in around 23,000 newly nationalised schools alongside the vacant posts.
