One Right and Another

Until recently, I was browsing to find out the population of the LGBT community in the United Kingdom. I came to know by the Guardian report that 545,000 are Gay in the UK [http://www.theguardian.com/politics/reality-check/2013/oct/03/gay-britain-what-do-statistics-say (Accessed: 01 May 2016)].

The Guardian cited the reckoned statistics of Gay in Britain is 1.5% of the total population. Nonetheless, the UK Treasury estimated 6% of the total population is Gay. It could be more as still many are reluctant to unveil their sexual orientation publicly.

Can one say that 10% of UK population belongs to LGBT as happened to claim by Kinsey Report in the USA [http://www.theguardian.com/society/2015/apr/05/10-per-cent-population-gay-alfred-kinsey-statistics (Accessed: 01 May 2016)]? Indeed, nothing is impossible on the surface of speculation wherein no right answer stands accurately.

Today, (1st May 2016), the UK’s population, according to worldometers is 65,046.750. Its 10% is 6,504,674 who now belong to LGBT family. If, now, I go back 20/30 years back when the American Parliament had not legalised Gay marriage, when the UK parliament had not passed laws to legalize Gay Marriage, when I was not that much aware about the Gay practice, what was my sexual stance of being married to a girl.

Now, when homosexuality is open on this earth, offered here and there. Today, I am pushed to feel that Gay marriage is possible which used to be veiled. Now, what I would feel with my wife/girlfriend with whom I have already past 20/30 years. And my children with whom I spent over 10/15 years approximately. Now, what I can do when if I am inclined to leave family members behind for the sake of my sexual orientation which I did not bother 20/30 years back. If I take action today, 2 lives (wife and child) would be miserably ended up. Accordingly, who got married like me 20/30 years back, when Gay marriage or practice was not that much available, and would like to leave behind their partner and child, total 10% (65,046.750 Gays) would abandon total 2 lives (wife and child) means (65,046.750*2) = 13,009,349 lives would be destroyed which is being taken place. In this regard, I rely on the aspect of Ryan T. Anderson [https://www.youtube.com/watch?t=40&v=wGPlHdzHPFE (Accessed: 01 May 2016)] can back this argument. On the whole, 65,046.750 families would be (is being) separated.
