You & Me

So many grains of sand
so many stars in the sky
so many miles
around this planet of life
the sounds of creation
must have echoed back
along the corridors of the universe
across the passionate heat of the Sun
through the loving heart of Venus
to unite twin souls together
once separated by space and time
What ancient calendar
could have predicted
that our time is now?
But here we are
I stand in the presence
of a beauty beyond the stars
a loving, bright and beautiful soul
that brings so much love
and joy to my heart

my night
now bright
with the starlight of your eyes
your heavenly body graces my sky
night
to day
the light within you
nourishes my dreams
and I see forever in your eyes
your lips touch mine
and I am taken to a place
to a place of joy
and hope
and promise of a life together
in our home

you and me
at the top of the mountain
looking down
on the world of love
we created
so kiss me
hold me
fill me up with your love
that I may breathe
only to whisper the words
