ADB feasibility study for upgrading 1800 kilometers highway is now at the final stage and the meeting agreed to complete the work as soon as possible. Under the result-based landing (RBL) programme, Economic Relations Division (ERD) will send a proposal soon to the ADB headquarters in this respect. Asian Development Bank (ADB) has given a positive response on a financial proposal to upgrade three highways from Takerhat via Kuakata, Sylhet-Tamabil and Sonapur-Jorarrshahara in Bangladesh into four lanes. Highest-level transparency would be ensured in implementing all projects of Bangladesh Road Transport sector. It would be a great achievement for present Government to build the road sector.
