Incentives to boost pharmaceuticals export

Government will provide cash incentive to pharmaceuticals industry for exporting medicine in larger volume. The government gave extra emphasis on medicine export in its 7th five-year planning considering huge potential of pharmaceuticals in the international market. Bangladesh currently export medicines worth US 72.64 million dollar to 117 countries annual as the country's pharmaceutical industry drew attention of world market with its high quality and prompting the government to provide the incentives. The incumbent government allocated 200 acres of land at Bausia of Gozaria in Munshiganj district to set up an Aactive Pharmaceuticals Ingredient (API) Park and common lab.
