Save Sudipta's Life

Sudipta Chowdhury (Anthropology, 1996-97 batch) is an ex-student of Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST), Sylhet, Bangladesh. He was one of the pioneers in arranging several cultural programs in the university. We regret to share with you that Sudipta has been suffering from kidney related problems for the last 6 months. Three months ago doctors have found that two of his kidneys have been malfunctioning by almost 80%. Doctors of Bangladesh and India have advised that Sudipta has to go for ...Kidney transplantation and after that they will start kidney dialysis. Sudipta’s mom is going to donate her kidney to save her son. But this whole process is very expensive, moreover, Sudipta is married and he has a one year old son. At present he is working as a regional coordinator of a local NGO in Bangladesh.



Sudipta’s family has decided to go to India for the transplantation in middle of February 2013 and we need to collect at least USD 35 000 (or, BDT 30 Lakh) to complete the transplantation and initial steps of the treatment. We, close friends of Sudipta, are trying to help him financially in this extremely miserable situation in every possible way because with Kidney dialysis it doesn’t stop after a month or a year rather it is an ongoing process.



Even though Sudipta didn't want to make this appeal public, this is our appeal to raise your helping hand according to your abilities and save his life. His family will also be in trouble if he doesn't survive. Any interested contributors who are living outside Bangladesh can donate through a paypal account (please see below).
