Advantages and Disadvantages of Solar Power Plant

As truly renewable energy source, solar power is getting more and more attention. Many countries have set plan of building solar power plant to produce unlimited clean energy.

Advantages of solar power plant:

Low maintenance cost
After the solar panels are installed, the system just requires a little maintenance. All need to do is keeping the panel clean and checking the circuit system. If the panels and circuit work well, the system can keep working in 5 or 10 years without any changes.

Less pollution
The solar panel system pollution is far less compared to other sources of energy. The system doesn't produce harmful materials that pollute the environment.

Disadvantages of solar power plant:

Takes too much space
More energy needs more solar panels and more solar panels require more space. When choosing the location of solar power plant, the angle to the sun is also an important factor.

High Initial investment
Although the solar power plant has high return on investment due to the amount of free energy the solar panel can produce, the initial investment is very high. The price of the energy storage battery is very expensive, while the feedback may needs 2 or 3 years to come out.

The solar power plant system consists of solar panel, post, racks and frames, energy storage battery etc. When installing solar power system, first piling the channel post into the ground and fix the racks and frames on it. Then put the solar panel on the support structure.

In order to improve the efficiency, the posts are mainly pilled by customized equipment called solar panel pile driver. The pilling length of general post drivers is usually 1 to 2 meters, while the post for solar panel is usually 3 or 4 meters. So the post installation machine must be customized for solar power plant purpose.

The solar panel pile driver is usually refitted from guardrail installation machine since they are very similar. In order to expand the piling length, the rails will be lengthened. Thus cause the problem of gravity center shift. So the pile driver structure and hydraulic control system need to be redesigned to ensure the stability of pilling work. Power engine is also required to provide more power. Consider that the installation place is usually rugged, the pile driver is usually track mounted. The track can bear more pilling pressure than tires.
