To win first impression of a Customer:
Customers are the king of market. Being a sales personnel you should always consider your client knows better than you. Never underestimate any client and never show over confidence toward any client. A successful client always works as a referral. So you should nurture your client by satisfying his or her every tiny requirement.
Satisfied customers always work like viruses and Bangladesh corporate market is very small here everybody knows everyone. and if you are really doing good in sales and marketing sector, your competitors will always follow your footsteps. Being sales rep you must be informative regarding your products and services that you are dealing with.
1) Always approach first with a confidence:
a) Face to face and eye to eye communication always wins the customer faith faster than anything. Your facial expression is very important when you deal with your client. If your client (prospect) finds you nervous or disinclination in your approach by your any nonsensical behavior, then you will be automatically out from the deal. Face to face impression formed within 5-7 minutes.
b) Dealing a client through telephone is very difficult job.Customer don’t show much talking in atelephone regarding a product . So they try to skip the conversation as fast as they can so , being a call center sales guy you got 45-50 seconds to create impression in a customer mind.
c) Your gesture , posture body language covers 55% of total expressions and rest 38% depends on your voice ,and rest covered by your product knowledge, technical knowledge, after sales service etc.
D)In todays world there is a saying people buy people not the product. If you represent company to a customer. Customer buys you not the product. It’s been seen frequently that we don’t want to give more time to the client which already been closed.( Closed mean existing clients.) as previousely mentioned that customer works like viruses, they can be our real assets if they get nurtured properly
e) Focus on your objective: always be focused to your objective. At customer premise focus on the contact person not others.
f) Identify customer traits: All the customers are not same. Some are friendly, some are talkative, some are more informative, and some are ignorant. When you deal with the client at the very first phase, you don’t know him. Don’t act like you know everything in customer premise, especially if it’s a technical product and if you are marketing person with a business background. Go slow. Try to get the customer nerves. Act accordingly. Now a day’s technical product gets marketed by business students. Before going for sales call technical know-how is must. Be energetic and enthusiastic in professional conversation.
G) Dress professionally: your outlook represents the companies’ present situation. And most of the clients are dress conscious. We are living in the world of globalization.and we identifies a sales rep personality by his professional outlook and it is relate with the characteristics of that particular person. A person who is conscious about himself also conscious about others.
Smile: be friendly and personable. Always keep a smile in your face which will give a feeling of belongingness to your client. Salesman of a life insurance company, they always carry a smile in their faces. They hunt down the clients by their sophisticated smile. No matter how angry and how annoyed you are on him, he will never loose his smile.
Be a walking logo: When anybody goes for sales call he or she carries a name, image, identity, and a value of a company. Bangladesh corporate market is small so when you will be dealing a particular brand for long time, you will be a walking logo for the company. Try to build up unique style of your own.
Treat every individual as a valued person:
Discover something special about the client: as salesman always maintain a database of personal information of your clients. Their birthdays, marriage days, kids birthdays, so that you can wish him time to time to make him feel special. A customer has so many suppliers in hands. As a sales guy if he receives such value from you then client will keep you in top to his priority list.
Show sincere interest and towards clients conversation: Client will be asking you so many queries regarding the services or products . show respect to his queries and show keen interest towards his conversation
