The responsibility of a sales manager:
The sales manager of a company carries out so many responsibilities .some are given below:
Different budgetary programs: The sales manager takes the initiatives in establishing short and long term sales goals of the division and in collaboration with other marketing executives, sets sales, profit, growth, market share, and other goals. He reviews and changes the sales policies, sales strategies, and pricing policies for all products to achieve the annual sales target of an organization.
Organization: the sales manager always tries to get more output with less input. Though sometimes the plan needs to be changed. A sales manager knows how to establish a company image among consumers.
Leadership: The sales manager provides leadership to all his subordinates and all level of the sales organization in establishing a sound basis for each individual’s self-development.
Sales force management: this is one of the very important tasks of a sales manager. A manager should always looks after his sales force. If a body is an organization then sales force is the blood .it runs in the whole body means works for the stability of an organization. A manager must plan for the positive motivation work plan for the sales team member.
Internal and external relations: A manager must maintain good relation with each department of an organization. He need sto work on budget , and also need to look for the fresh promotional news of competitors , based on the competitive offers he need to make his own action plan.
Market study : The sales manager always informs chief of the organization, regarding the market condition, or what a market is going through, or the market scenario.
Control: The sales manager always consult with production manager to keep the sales growth smooth. The sales manager reviews the and approves the sales and expense budgets and evaluates periodically the performance of all sales activities in relation to budget and sales goal.
Sales training: manager always work for the productivity of the sales workers . Sales itself is a monotonous job as leader he should cheer up his associates. sales manager has the responsibilities to improve the sales force by providing them the current market information, competitor’s information. Develop them every day by improving their selling skills.
