Save the River

My parents were martinet who insisted us not to do anything without their permission. However, once I got a chance to jump to the river Shotia. The river Shotia is meandered through my village. This very day was quite different in my life as it was my first experience with a river. I swam for a long time and tried to catch fish following the fishermen. But alas! I was not able to catch a single one. It was really a tough job.



Last time when I went to my village I was so much depressed to see my beloved river. There was no any river and it was just like a drain rather than a river. This is not only the story of Shotia but also represents the overall Bangladesh. We have to pay a lot for killing Shotia. Natural disasters like as excessive flood and drought are threatening us for all the time. We should do something to save our rivers immediately. We must have something to do and its for sure that where there is a will there is a way.
