Must Save Dhaka, Must Save Bangladesh

We, as ordinary citizens, are convinced that Dhaka is on a suicidal course, owing to our fatal apathy. When under existential threat, all animals including human, have only three options: FIGHT back, FLIGHT (escape) or FREEZE in panic. We appear to be freezing in panic or NOT REALISING THE EXISTENTIAL THREAT WE ARE FACING.

Yet, we have not lost hope and see sweeping options to reverse Dhaka's plunge. On this page we will endeavour to bring the citizens of Bangladesh out of their apathy and languor by constantly bombarding them with shocking factual information on:

1. Dhaka's declining living conditions arising from population pressure, inadequate basic infrastructures like roads and open spaces, basic services and haphazard developments.

2. recently discovered earthquake risks in Bangladesh.

AND, we will also bring sweeping redesign and redevelopment ideas that are flagged by many concerned citizens, which, if implemented with courage and commitment, may make Dhaka a more liveable and safer city.

We hope that citizens' increased awareness of Bangladesh and Dhaka's predicaments and sweeping hard options available to address those, will encourage them to catalyse decision makers into taking urgent sweeping actions to save Dhaka.

We particularly appeal to those in positions of power, influence and wealth to catalyse the decision makers into sweeping actions to save Dhaka. After all, the city elites and their offspring have the most to lose, from a collapse of Dhaka, including their existence. Common wisdom etched in our collective psyche is that mostly poor get killed in disasters. However, in an earthquake or other collapse of Dhaka, it will be the upper class who will have the least likely chances of survival for obvious reasons.
