বিশ্ব কবি সভা ওয়ার্ল্ড পোয়েট্রি কানাডা অ্যান্ড ইন্টারন্যাশনাল থেকে বাংলাদেশি কবি সালেহ মজুমদারের বিরল আন্তর্জাতিক সম্মাননা পোয় অস্কার অর্জন। গত চৌঠা এপ্রিল ২০১৩ ইং সালে কানাডার ভেঙ্কুভারে ইউনিভার্সিটি অব ব্রিটিশ কলাম্বিয়ায় অনুষ্ঠিত বিশ্ব কবি সম্মেলনে সারা পৃথিবীর ৮০৫ জন নির্বাচিত কবিদের মাঝে ২০১৩ সালের সেরা কবি হিসাবে বাংলাদেশী তরুণ প্রজন্মের কবি সালেহ মজুমদার বিরল আন্তর্জাতিক সম্মাননা পোয়ে অস্কার অর্জন করেন। তার লেখা একাধিক ইংরেজি কবিতা কুপ-আপ রেডিও ভেঙ্কুভার বিভিন্ন সময় প্রচার করা হয়। ২০১৩ মেলায় তার লেখা ক্যাব গ্রন্থ বসন্তের অনুরণন অন্যধারা প্রকাশন থেকে মুক্তি পায়। তার লেখা ইংরেজি ক্যাব গ্রন্থ রিভারে দ্যা মুস ব্রিউয়ার, ইনার চাইল্ড পাবলিকেশন নিউইয়র্ক এবং ওয়ার্ল্ড পোয়েট্রি পাবলিকেশন ভেঙ্কুভার কানাডা থেকে মুক্তির প্রহর গুনছে।

তার অর্জন সম্পর্কে মজুমদার মনে করেন বাংলাদেশী তরুণ প্রজন্ম ইংরেজি সাহিত্য চর্চার মাধ্যমে আন্তর্জাতিক অঙ্গনে নিজ দেশের সাহিত্যকে তুলে ধরতে পারেন এবং এই এওয়ার্ড অনুপ্রেরণা হিসেবে কাজ করবে।

CURRENT OF PEACE

Dreams may come true

children been told

where hope and desire rule

where bullets are never fired

where streets are empty of violence

their hunger would cease to exist

bias-motivated crimes will fall like rain

letting blood seep back from where it came

the child inside me

would dream days to be extant

for humanity to rise hand in hand

rising early morning

to bring fragrant blossoms on the breeze

nature rejoicing in harmony

the world in surplus of joy

you will see it upon our smiles

then night comes

with slumber; peace and spring calling

quiet like flowers in gardens

touching only the soul through eyes

as its smell breezes through the window

the world should fold back into rest

FEMINE

Earth's females are the living art.

Like a carnival of poetry to discover.

They decorate our life with simple smiles,

and with warming love and hugs.

Playing the roles of a mother, a sister, and a lover.

When we need a home they offer only their blessings.

Like a tent shading from the dehydrating sun.

Curing all the pains and evil of this world.

Healing wounds with great skill of caring.

But to the blind and desperate world,

they are the unfortunate victim.

of misfortune's abuse and brutality.

They are like candles

burning out to brighten us,

with gifts so sacred,

a given grace of the Lord.

They are fascinating and beautiful,

and all loveliness with every verse.

Wonderful above any wonder of this world.
