ভাষা-সংসর্গ বিদ্যার নিরিখে বাংলা ভাষার সৃজন, উন্নয়ন ও অবনমন পরিক্রমা শীর্ষক গ্রন্থটি বাংলা ভাষার ইতিহাস সম্পর্কিত একটি গ্রন্থ। তবে এ গ্রন্থটি গতানুগতিক বাংলা ভাষার ইতিহাস থেকে ভিন্নতর। ভিন্নতর এই অর্থে যে, বাংলা ভাষার এই ইতিহাসটি রচনা করা হয়েছে পর্যায়ক্রমিক কয়েকটি ধাপ অনুসরণে। এই ধাপগুলো হলো বাংলা ভাষার সৃজন, বাংলা ভাষার উন্নয়ন এবং বাংলা ভাষার অবনমন। গ্রন্থটি চারটি পর্বে মোট সতেরোটি অধ্যায়ে বিভক্ত। গ্রন্থের প্রারম্ভিক পর্বে বাংলা ভাষার সৃজন, বিকাশ ও অবনমন প্রক্রিয়াটি সংঘটনের পটভূমি নির্মাণ করা হয়েছে। তাছাড়া বাংলা ভাষার সৃজন, বিকাশ ও অবনমন প্রক্রিয়াটি যুক্তিগ্রাহ্য করতে দ্বিতীয়, তৃতীয় ও চতুর্থ পর্বের প্রত্যেকটির শুরুতে আধুনিক সমাজ ভাষাবৈজ্ঞানিক তত্ত্বসমূহের আলোকে তার পরিপ্রেক্ষণিকা নির্মাণ করা হয়েছে। এসব পর্বে দখানো হয়েছে যে, বাংলা ভাষার সৃজন, বিকাশ ও অবনমন প্রক্রিয়াটির পিছনের চালিকা শক্তি হলো যথাক্রমে ভাষা সংসর্গ, ভাষা নীতি ও ভাষিক সাম্রাজ্যবাদ। ভাষা-সংসর্গ প্রক্রিয়া সংঘটিত হয়েছে বিধায় বাংলা ভাষা সৃজনের সূত্রপাত হয়। আর কতকগুলো রাজনৈতিক, সামাজিক, ধর্মীয় ও সাংস্কৃতিক নিয়ামকের প্রণোদনায় ভাষা-সংসর্গ প্রক্রিয়াটি গতি লাভ করে। যে কারণে এই গ্রন্থের শিরোনামের আদ্যে ভাষা-সংসর্গ বিদ্যার নিরিখে অভিব্যক্তিটি জুড়ে দেওয়া হয়েছে। সেজন্য বাংলা ভাষার এই ইতিহাসটি গত একশ বছর ধরে চর্চিত ইতিহাস থেকে ভিন্নতর।
[Language I wrote on the way to publication Publisher of the book: Time Publishing Book Introduction: The book titled "Creation, Development, and Degradation of the Bengali Language" is a book about the history of Bangla language. However, this book is different from the history of the traditional Bangla language. Different in the sense that this history of Bangla has been composed following a series of steps. These steps are the creation of Bengali language, the development of Bangla, and the degradation of Bengali language. The book is divided into four chapters and a total of seventeen chapters. In the early stages of the book, the process of creation, development, and degradation of Bangla has been made the background of the event. Moreover, to rationalize the process of creation, development, and degradation of Bengali language, at the beginning of each of the second, third, and fourth episodes, its perspective has been constructed in the light of modern sociolinguistic theories. In these episodes, it has been shown that the driving force behind the process of creation, development, and degradation of Bangla is language integration, language policy, and linguistic imperialism respectively. The creation of Bangla has begun due to the process of language contact, which gained momentum catalyzed with the political, social, religious, and cultural forces. That is why at the beginning of the title of this book the expression has been given in terms of linguistics. That is why this history of Bangla is different from the history studied for the last one hundred years.]
