[Pardesi (1957) Hindi], [(Journey Beyond Three Seas) English ], and [(Хождение за три моря (Khozhdenie za tri morya) Russian] is a co-produced film directed by Khwaja Ahmad Abbas (Indian Sub-continent) and Vasili Pronin ( Soviet Union) .
Real Story: Afanasy Nikitin From Soviet Union . He was a Russian trader. He was one of the first Europeans who traveled in the Indian Sub-continent in (1466-1472) . He fell in love with an Indian girl (Nargis Dutt) . In fact both of them fell in love. But Afanasy Nikitin went far away from the touch of the girl for trade. Actually Afanasy Nikitin wrote all the information he faced with from the beginning of the journey to The end. At last, Nargis Dutt got married with other man without finding Afanasy Niktin and got a child. In this tragic situation, Afanasy Nikitin again traveled to Russia ( His Motherland) .
Through this real story, getting from the Dairy of Afanasy Nikitin,
Khwaja Ahmad Abbas and
Vasili Pronin
made the film.
