Team India, শুভেচ্ছা নাও। খেলায় আমাদের বিপক্ষে তোমাদের অসাধারণ পারফরমেন্সের জন্য তোমাদের অভিনন্দন জানাই। নিঃসন্দেহে এটা তোমাদের দলীয় পারফরমেন্স। তোমারা টুর্নামেন্টের শুরু থেকে দারুন খেলে আসছ। তোমারাই এই জয়ের দাবিদার। কিন্তু...

(Team India, Take my greetings first. Congratulations for your glorious performance against us. That was a total team performance. You guys are playing terrific from the very beginning of this tournament. You deserve it.)

এইভাবে জিতাটাই কি তোমাদের খাচিলত?! বহু টিমের সাথে বহু বৎসর ধরে খেলে আসছি। তোমাদের মত বেলাজা আর একটাও দেখি নাই। টিমে আর ম্যানেজম্যান্টের মধ্যে তো লুচ্চা, বদমাইশ, ইতর-ফাতরের কোন অভাব নাই। তোমাদের ক্রিকেট অঙ্গনে এসেই কি ভাল ভাল মানুষগুলো চোর-চাট্টার হয়ে যায়, নাকি যাবতীয় ছ্যাঁচরকেই তোমরা কোলে করে নিয়ে মাঠে ছেড়ে দাও এ বিষয়ে আমরা সত্যিই সন্দিহান। শোনো তোমাদের একটা কথা বলি- শুধু খেলতে জানলেই ক্রিকেট খেলা হয় না, সাথে ক্লাস থাকতে হয় ক্লাস। কারণ জানতো ক্রিকেটার মানেই; কার্যত ভদ্রমানুষ। তোমাদের পাশেই আমরা থাকি, খেলি। এতদিন কষ্ট করে হলেও তোমাদেরকে প্রতিবেশী হিসেবে বিশ্বের দরবারে পরিচিত করিয়ে দিতাম। কিন্তু আর তো পারা যাচ্ছেনা ব্রো।

(We have been playing against many teams in the short span of our Cricket. But you are completely different. You are the best. You have got the bravest, mostly talented and unique players of all time. Each player of this team is truly identical in his own position. You do know how to pick the pearls from the country. You made it! You have started a new era of cricket. Modern Cricket is a great discovery of you. We are proud to have you as our neighbor. We really are.)

যাক, কাজের কথায় আসি। আরেকটা ম্যাচ খেলতে সাহস হয় কিনা দেখ। না হইলে আম্পায়ারো দিমু ২-৪টা। আম্পায়ার লাগবে এটা বললেই তো হয়। চুরি করার কি দরকার ছিল?

(We are really keen to play with you more and more. We want to prove ourselves. We want to prove that we are worthy to be your cricketing neighbor.)

(We’ll try not to lose wickets early like we do. We’ll settle down in the crease, won’t we? )

(We want to bowl against you carefully. )



এমন জাগাত বল মারুম নু বল দিবার টাইম পাইবি না। ফইন্নির গরের ফইন্নি।

(We want to bring some early break throughs. We will stop the momentum that you make frequently. )



বাউন্স মাইরা কল্লা ফালায় দিয়াম, চিনশ আমাগোরে?

(Even we will check the singles, you know. May be your batters will feel a bit tensed to face ours bowlers sometime. )



এসব আমরার লাইগা কোন ব্যাপারই না।

(It is really difficult to do though.)



খেলার ফলাফল নিয়ে চিন্তা করার কোন দরকার নাই, ঠিকাসে? খেলা তো খেলাই। খেলায় হার জিত থাকবে। আচ্ছা আমরা যামু নাকি তোমরা আসবা? আচ্ছা থাক টেনশন নিও না তোমরাই আস। আমাদের দেশের মানুষ খেলোয়াড়দের বাড়ি-গাড়িতে আগুন দেয় না।

(But whatever the result will be we want to play with you one more time. We give respect peoples who deserve it. So you should keep trust on us. Visit our country, play with us and make us proud.)



আর শোনো গালি খেয়ে মন খারাপ করোনা। চুরি-ডাকাতি করলে ওগুলো একটি-আকটু তো সহ্য করতে হবেই। ক্রিকেট শেখো ক্রিকেট। নিজেরাও শেখো বাচ্চাদের ও শেখাও)

(Recently some people are showing their stupidity against you. That is not a matter to be worried about. Keep playing. And tell your youngsters not to think about leaving cricket.)
