The author of this book, Henry Kissinger was one the major foreign policy maker of United States during the 70s as being national security advisor and secretary of states. We Bangladeshis know him as a war criminal as well as responsible for the assassination of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and his entire family. He has the similar reputation in Vietnam, Cambodia and hated in many other countries. Surprisingly Nobel Peace Prize winner in 1973.

Even though I consider him one of the worst character in 20th Century CE; I was interested to know his views and political values. And I was both surprised and fascinated. On my 7th week of 2016 Reading Challenge, I have completed "World Order by Henry Kissinger".



Unlike Machiavelli's " The Prince " which have full of nice sounding illogical phrases, Kissinger's Diplomacy focuses heavily upon critical thinking based on his life's experiences with many noteworthy references. With a detailed interpretation of political order during the medieval era in Europe to present era across the world; it became clear to me why he was so into "Survival of the fittest". It was never about moral reasons to support a nation. It was more about ensuring a country's (in his case, US) power.
