Dear Concerned,

I would like to inform you that today between 7.30 to 8.30 pm I received a call from a GP number 01760475397. From that number one Mr. Nahid (who claimed himself as a GP official) informed me that as a GP STAR subscriber I won a lottery of BDT 3,62,000/- (Three lac and Sixty Two thousand). He also instructed me to send a government VAT of BDT 16,220/-(Sixteen thousand Two hundred and Twenty) to his GP number (already mentioned) to get the lottery prize money. In addition to this he told that the payment of the VAT should be made by flexiload within 45 minutes by today to become eligible to get that prize money otherwise I may miss that money.

As he told me that a SMS regarding GP STAR subscriber lottery was send to me on 21st November 2011, I checked my INBOX and did not found the SMS.

Several points such as, a pre payment of BDT 16,220/- for government VAT, the way of the payment of government VAT and lastly the mysterious SMS regarding the lottery that I did not find, raised my suspicion that a possible fraud attempt is being carried out by someone in the name of so called GP STAR subscriber lottery.

Be advised to check the call records and track records of the bill payment by flexiload of the mentioned GP number in this regard.

This is FYIANA.
