Are the students of Universities today really learning or just completing their semester?

This is totally from my perspective that I have realized earlier. This semester was a disaster for me. I have passed this semester idle and according to me I did not learn anything in real. I am from one of the most reputed private universities in Bangladesh. Due to political situation it has been really hard for the students to cope up with this semester. Nothing was in place. The classes were cancelled and most of the classes are done in make-up routines which increased a chaos in the minds of the students.
During certain circumstances one cannot do anything. To control the situation either the faculties can reduce the syllabus or postponed the semester for the next. The decision might be fair to both the faculties and the students. We as a student obviously go to classes to learn but not to finish the syllabus that has been assigned to us. In order to learn it is mandatory for students to attend classes and understand what they are being taught.
This is just a completion of semester according to me because honestly I have not learnt anything that has been taught in classes. The content that are provided does not fit in the assigned time that are set.
