Dhamoirhat Upazila Area 300.80 square kilometers. It is bounded by West Bengal (India) on thenorth,Badalgachhi and PatniTala upazilas on the south,Joypurhat Sadar upazila on the east,PatniTala upazila on the west.

Administration :

Dhamoirhat thana was established in 1877 and was changed into an upazila in 1984. It consists of 99 union parishads,18 wards,74 mahallas, 2800 villages and 11 upazilas.

Population :

Dhamoirhat Upazila population is 151875. men 51.73% , women 48.27% , Muslim 89.81% , Hindus 6.92% , Honest 1.71% , and tribals 1.56% . The tribe individuals are almost specifically santals.
